MACY’S, SPECIAL PROJECTS, EVENTS & Home store ADVERTISING COPYWRITER, NEW YORK, NY (2009 – 2010)

Wrote, proofread and edited event and project-driven copy, concepts and strategies for newspapers, magazines, brochures, posters, banners, tickets, direct mail and invitations. Produced effective and brand-right advertising for storewide and national projects, events and sponsorships—including 4th of July Fireworks, Thanksgiving Parade, Flower Show, Christmas Tree Lighting, local mall fashion shows and Culinary Council demos. Completed and released up to 75 ads per week. Edited and layered newspaper ads to ensure appropriate ad is printed in the correct newspaper and relevant to the location (adjusting event times, locations, gifts with purchase, celebrity attendees, local sports team appearances, etc.). Handled project management and campaign coordination, from conception to delivery. Collaborated with Art Directors and consulted Creative Directors to incorporate appropriate ad layout and design. Attended weekly meetings with Marketing and Events to receive, review and confirm event information.
